Starz has officially ordered Season 2 of the new series “Vida“. The show focuses on two Mexican - American sisters. The two, with different personalities and estranged from each other, are forced to return to the place where they grew up due to their mother's sudden death. Originally, they planned to sell their mother's estate after the funeral and then go back to their normal lives in Chicago and Los Angeles respectively. However, things don't go as planned. While facing their past, they will also discover astonishing truths about their mother. Starz's executive president said in an official statement, “As we expected, 'Vida' has attracted a young new Latino audience to the Starz platform. We're very happy to announce the renewal of Season 2. In the new season, (writer) Tanya Saracho and her team will have the opportunity to lead the audience to explore the lives of the Hernandez sisters and their community in a deeper way, and we're looking forward to presenting the next chapter of their story to everyone soon.“

Anne,a middle-aged divorcee,spends her life caring for her mother,Bella,who has Alzheimer's Disease whilst following the progress of her son Chris,who is back-packing across South America. She meets John,also divorced,and they spend time together,letting Anne's married sister Lynne mind Bella. However Bella is used to living with Anne and Lynne tends to use this as an excuse to shirk her responsibilities.When Chris is mugged Anne decides to fly out,with John,to see him and asks Lynne to become Bella's carer for three weeks but Lynne feels that she would be better off in a care home. If Lynne refuses Anne will have wasted her money on the plane fares. Fortunately Bela has a far better understanding of family politics than either sister realises.
